Stoma patient care

Stoma surgery, which results in the small intestine, large intestine, or urinary tract being removed out in the front abdominal wall, significantly changes the patient’s life. The patient will need to learn to live with a different everyday life and accept it. Stoma care products greatly facilitate the life of stoma patients. Those are comfortable to use and improve the quality of life of the patient. Therefore, after this surgery the patient can continue to live a full life.

On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 11:00 to 13:00 at Saules aptieka at Brīvības iela 68, Riga there are consultations on stoma care provided by a nurse who has a great experience in the care of stoma patients. These consultations are free of charge and will give valuable advice on the available stoma care products and their use.

Patients at Saules aptieka may purchase products available under the compensation scheme as well as those not available in Latvia, including Dansac, Coloplast, Eakin and Holister products.
