Ingredients of the cream
When preparing dermocosmetics of Saules aptieka, we use special DMS®. basic and active substances. Depending on the specifics of the skin, individual products with unique combination of these substances are created.
DMS® (Derma Membrane Structure)
We use a patented “lamellar emulsion” DMS ® (Derma Membrane Structure) as the basic substance.
Skin rejuvenation with DMS® systems
It is phospholipid structure that forms the basis of cell membranes of all living organisms. This explains the excellent compatibility of these substances and skin.
It is very important that DMS ® does not contain any aggressive and unwanted ingredients to the skin:
- surface active substances (surfactants) which may damage the protective layer/barrier of the skin;
- preservatives (many of which cause allergic reactions and irritate the skin);
- mineral oils (which slow down the recovery of the lipid barrier of the skin);
- fragrance and dye (most common causes of allergies);
- amines and silicones.
The supply of active substances to the skin is mainly ensured by dissolving the lipid structure of the horny layer. This is a reversible process that does not cause damage to the protective barrier. The active substances are incorporated into liposomes and nanoparticles.

These are microscopic spheres of phospholipids, the structure of which is similar to that of the skin lipid barrier. It protects and restores the skin without damaging its structure.
